In September 2020, the research work of Zoltan Bada, a historian at the Serbian Institute, and Pero Lastić, the director of the institute, on the perception of Ignjatović's political journalism in Serbian and Hungarian obituaries in the contemporary press was successfully presented in a short study by Zoltan Bada : under the Hungarian title " Egy szerb író a magyar nemzetállami eszme és szerb nemzeti mozgalom ütközőterében. Jakov Ignjatović's remembrance of the szerb és a magyar sajtó megmelézető írásaiban " in the journal Valóság ("Valóság").

The work presents a depiction of the memory of Jakov Ignjatović in the mirror of the Serbian and Hungarian press, with an emphasis on the growing idea of a Hungarian national state and the Serbian national movement.
