During the so-called dualism, the dual Austro-Hungarian monarchy (1867–1918), direct censorship of the press was abolished in the Kingdom of Hungary, there was a sharp increase in the number of newspapers and magazines, and publishing the press became a lucrative business. First of all, the volume of the press in the Hungarian language increased, but within the framework of general modernization and development, there was also a sharp increase in the press in the languages of other peoples and nationalities in Hungary, including those in the Serbian language. The number of Serbian titles tripled during this period and reached about thirty. The Serbian press in Hungary (excluding other parts of the Habsburg monarchy) was significant in terms of its volume and national influence in the entire Serbian population and outside the dual monarchy. The attached list of Serbian newspapers and magazines (the work of the associate of the Serbian Institute of Historians Zoltan Bade ) represents the most complete list of Serbian press in Hungary of this period to date. It contains 210 periodicals. The titles are given by year of launch, and within individual years in alphabetical order of titles. The titles are processed according to international bibliographic standards (ISBDA). Each item is accompanied by an accompanying scientific apparatus (bibliography, literature). Based on the list, we obtain information about the first and last published issue of the periodical, the frequency of publication, the editor, the printing house, the place of publication, and, if necessary, further explanations.
